Governor Pritzker signs executive order to establish the Illinois AI Cabinet to advise and prepare for emerging risks and protect Illinoisans

Gov. Pritzker Establishes Illinois Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cabinet 

CHICAGO – Governor JB Pritzker today signed Executive Order 2026-07 establishing the Illinois Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cabinet, a group of individuals from across industries and fields that will assess the various risks posed by AI to the safety of Illinoisans. As AI continues to rapidly advance, the Illinois AI Cabinet will advise state government on preparing for and responding to AI-related incidents, identifying safeguards for public assets and infrastructure, and evaluating additional steps Illinois can take to strengthen AI safety and accountability. The Governor will seek input from state agency leaders and announce members of the cabinet in the coming weeks. The AI cabinet will include a broad cross-sector of experts from academia, law, ethics, governance and more.

Gov. Pritzker Announces One Appointment to Boards and Commissions 

Dustin Ramage will serve as a Member of the Capital Development Board.* Ramage currently serves as Business Manager with Downstate Illinois Laborers' District Council and as Special International Representative with Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA). In these roles, Ramage leads district council operations and strategic direction across downstate Illinois. Previously, Ramage served as Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust Director with Downstate Illinois Laborers' District Council and as President of LIUNA Local 100. Ramage also serves on the Board of United Way of Greater St. Louis. Ramage earned his diploma from Columbia Community High School.

New website centralizes resources for reproductive care in Illinois, connecting site visitors to medical providers, affordable care options, and helpful information

 Gov. Pritzker Launches Illinois Reproductive Health Care Hub

CHICAGO – Governor JB Pritzker today announced the launch of the Illinois Reproductive Health Care Hub, the State’s new website centralizing resources for those making decisions about their reproductive health. This new online hub provides a one-stop-shop of information to help access and pay for care, while also informing patients in Illinois about their rights.
