Gov. Pritzker Announces Three Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Children and Family Services Advisory Council
Anita Weinberg will continue to serve as a Member of the Children and Family Services Advisory Council.* Weinberg has dedicated her career to being an advocate for under-served and underrepresented children and families across the country. She currently serves as an instructor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and is the Co-Director of Civitas ChildLaw Center. While at Loyola, she has overseen the Juris Doctor-Master of Social Work dual degree program and developed and taught Interdisciplinary Seminars on Domestic Violence and Children and Families. Prior to her tenure with Loyola, Weinberg served the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Office Inspector General, Children’s Rights Project, Legal Assistance of Chicago, and the Child Welfare League of America. A recognized advocate, she was awarded the Child Welfare Advocate of the Year award from the Illinois chapter of the Foster Care Alumni of America. She was also recognized with the St. Ignatius Loyola Award for Excellence in Teaching from Loyola University Chicago. Weinberg received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, Master of Social Work from Columbia University, and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago’s School of Law.
Energy Workforce Advisory Council
Marlon McClinton will serve as a Member of the Energy Workforce Advisory Council.* McClinton serves as the President and CEO of Utilivate Technologies, providing energy management and evaluation, measurement and verification services to utilities, businesses, not-for-profit organizations and government agencies across the country. McClinton has been recognized for his skilled leadership, inviting engagement and participation from under-served and under-represented communities in utility energy efficiency programs. He serves on the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board and Illinois Community College Board. McClinton earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois and his Master of Science and Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University.
Illinois Committee for Agricultural Education
Trenton Taber will serve as a Member of the Illinois Committee for Agricultural Education.* Taber currently serves as an Agriculture Instructor and FFA Advisor at Cambridge High School. While in this role, he teaches six different classes including 8th grade agriculture, Intro to Agriculture, Animal Science, Agriculture Mechanics, Horticulture, and Agriculture Business. Prior to joining Cambridge High School, Taber taught at Newark High School, West Prairie High School, and participated in the NAAE Agri-Science PreService Teacher Program at the National Future Farmers of America Convention. Taber serves as the Section 3 Chairman for the Illinois Association of Vocational Agriculture Teachers, District 1 Representative for the Illinois FFA Board of Directors and is a Committee Member of the Henry County Ag Literacy Coalition. In 2023, Taber was recognized as the State Golden Owl Recipient by the Illinois Association of Vocational Agriculture Teachers. by his colleagues and was named the Illinois Agriculture Teacher of the Year-Golden Owl. Taber received a Bachelor of Science from Western Illinois University and a Master of Science in Agricultural Education from Iowa State University.
