Gov. Pritzker Announces Three Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority
Candice Adams will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority.* Adams currently serves as Clerk of the 18th Judicial Circuit Court of DuPage County, a position she has held since her first election in 2020. Previously, she specialized in personal injury and workers’ compensation law with Ankin Law and Grotefeld Hoffman. Adams earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Miami University and her Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School, now University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.
Public Administrators and Public Guardians
Mary Ann Brown will continue to serve as Public Administrator and Public Guardian of Rock Island County.* Brown currently serves as Partner at Nash Bean Ford and Brown, LLP, located in Geneseo and Moline. Previously, she practiced law at Jamieson Long and Associates in Moline. Brown’s legal expertise is primarily in elder law and estate planning. An active member of her community, Brown currently serves as Co-Chair of the Illinois National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys’ Mentor-Mentee Committee, and she served as President of the East Moline School District #37 Board. Brown earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Augustana College and her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Scott Schultz will continue to serve as Public Administrator and Public Guardian of Jersey County.* Schultz currently serves as Chief Public Defender for Calhoun and Jersey Counties. Previously, Schultz practiced law at Scott W. Schultz, Attorney at Law. There, he focused on litigation cases as well as family, injury, and criminal cases. Schultz earned his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his Juris Doctorate from University of Tulsa College of Law.
