Gov. Pritzker Announces Two Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointment in his administration

Quad Cities Regional Economic Development Authority

Doug House will serve as a Member of the Quad Cities Regional Economic Development Authority.* House has spent his entire professional career in public service at all levels of government with a focus on transportation, infrastructure, and workforce development. He has served as the Deputy Secretary of Illinois Department of Transportation and General Manager of Municipal Services for the City of Moline. Doug has worked closely with the existing business community in northwestern Illinois and understands their need to grow and foster new businesses to create jobs for the state’s skilled workforce. House was honored to be recognized as the Preservationist of the Year for his work revitalizing Historic Prospect Park and was recently inducted into the AFL-CIO Organized Labor Hall of Fame. Doug Served four years in the Illinois Air Force National Guard and two years in the Army Reserves and was honorably discharged from both as a Sergeant.

Will Kankakee Regional Development Authority

Janet Blue will continue to serve as a Member of the Will Kankakee Regional Development Authority.* Blue is a human resources professional and public servant, having served 20 years in healthcare, recruiting, and business development. Currently, she serves as Acquisition, Training, and Process Development Specialist for Wexford Health Services Inc. and previously held the position of Vice President of Talent Acquisition at MMY Consulting Inc. Blue is a former trustee in the Village of Monee (2017-2021), was the Founder and President of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 1200 and served as a delegate to the Will County Veterans Assistance Commission. Additionally, she is currently working with local groups to bring garden programs to serve communities’ food deserts in Eastern Will County and to bring attention to and educate communities on human trafficking in Illinois and across the nation. She holds a diploma in Business Studies from Stockton & Billingham College and is certified as a Forensic Interviewer and a Corrections Healthcare Professional.
