Gov. Pritzker Announces Three Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Illinois Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes
Alison Hill will serve as a Member of the Illinois Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes.* Hill is a Supervising Attorney in the Civil Rights Bureau of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, where she leads efforts to enforce civil rights laws and combat discrimination across housing, employment, education, and more. Hill has filed numerous lawsuits alleging violations of the Illinois Human Rights Act and served as lead counsel in the state’s first civil hate crime lawsuit. Additionally, she is involved with the Bureau’s legislative efforts and oversees colleges and universities’ compliance with the Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher Education Act. In 2023, she was honored with the Lawyer on the Rise Award from the Black Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater Chicago. Hill earned a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Jason Rosensweig will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes.* With a strong background in public service and policy, Rosensweig is the Senior Policy Advisor at the Illinois Department of Human Rights, and has served on the Illinois Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes since 2021. In his work for the state, Rosensweig has focused on improving civil rights protections, strengthening anti-discrimination laws, and addressing hate crimes and public safety. He also teaches as an Adjunct Professor for the Northwestern Prison Education Project and previously taught for American University. Previously, he was Director of Chicago for the Shalom Hartman Institute and Assistant Director at the American Jewish Committee. Rosensweig earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Stanford University and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Chicago.
State Board of Health
Rodney Holzmacher will serve as a Member of the State Board of Health.* Holzmacher has dedicated his career to serving the health needs of his community. He currently operates his own chiropractic office in Springfield, where he consults and examines patients with musculoskeletal conditions and is trained to recognize broader health issues for referrals to appropriate specialists. He previously taught human anatomy and physiology as an Adjunct Professor at Lincoln Land Community College. Holzmacher earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic.
