Gov. Pritzker Announces Four Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Mariel Hamer-Sinclair will continue to serve as a Member of the Guardianship and Advocacy Commission.* Hamer-Sinclair currently serves as Associate Director of Program and Policy with the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities, where she plays a key role in evaluating and addressing policy and funding issues that affect the disabled community in Illinois. Previously, Hamer-Sinclair served as Transition Manager with Chicago Public Schools and as Community Work Incentive Coordinator with the Illinois Assistive Technology Program. Hamer-Sinclair earned her Bachelor of Science from Kentucky Wesleyan College and her Master of Arts in Human Service Administration from University of Illinois Springfield.

Illinois becomes 13th state to create automatic records relief process for individuals with non-violent criminal convictions

Gov. Pritzker Signs Bipartisan Clean Slate Act

CHICAGO — Today, Governor JB Pritzker signed the bipartisan Clean Slate Act (HB 1836), a law that will automate the state's record-sealing system process for individuals with certain non-violent convictions following a waiting period. Individuals with violent and serious convictions including murder, domestic battery, DUI, sex crimes, and other serious crimes are not eligible for record sealing under the Clean Slate Act. The bill also does not apply to any crimes that aren’t already eligible for sealing.

What: Governor Pritzker will sign the Clean Slate Act into law.

New charging stations across Illinois showcase growing EV infrastructure investments

Gov. Pritzker Celebrates Launch of New Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

PONTIAC — Today, Governor JB Pritzker attended the ribbon cutting for five brand-new IONNA electric vehicle (EV) charging station sites, or “rechargeries,” across Illinois, totaling nearly 40 live charging bays. Illinois continues to deliver a strong environment for private investment in EV infrastructure by expanding access to reliable, convenient charging for drivers.

$87 million investment will expand and revitalize fine arts education spaces at Illinois State University

Gov. Pritzker Breaks Ground on Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts Transformation Project

NORMAL — Today, Governor JB Pritzker joined agency officials, local legislators, university leaders, and students at Illinois State University (ISU) to break ground on the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts (WKCFA) Transformation Project. This multi-year, $87 million state investment, made possible through Rebuild Illinois, will expand ISU’s fine arts complex to offer academic, instructional, and performance spaces through phased renovation, demolition, and new construction work.

Gov. Pritzker Announces Six Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Douglas House will serve as a Member of the Illinois Finance Authority.* House is currently Owner of Stoke Solutions and Strategies, LLC, where he consults on local government affairs. Previously, House served as Deputy Secretary of the Illinois Department of Transportation until his retirement in 2022. Earlier in his career, House gained experience as Contract Analyst with the Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana Foundation for Fair Contracting, Public Works General Manager with the City of Moline, and Member of the Quad Cities Regional Economic Development Authority. House was recently inducted into the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations’ (AFL-CIO) Organized Labor Hall of Fame. House served for four years in the Illinois Air Force National Guard and two years in the Army Reserves, where he was honorably discharged from both with the rank of Sergeant. House earned his high school diploma from Rockridge High School.
