Gov. Pritzker Announces One Appointment to Boards and Commissions

J. Randal Wexler will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois Finance Authority.* Wexler currently serves as Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary for Van Drunen Farms and FutureCeuticals (VDF),a food ingredient and dietary supplement company. In this role, Wexler leads VDF’s research and development efforts, including a chemistry discovery lab near Chicago. Previously, Wexler served as Partner with global law firm Sidley Austin. There, he managed complex litigation and counseling companies in the food, supplement, and drug sectors. Wexler is a former Board Member of the Chicago Council of Lawyers, an organization focused on pro-bono projects promoting systemic criminal justice reforms. Wexler earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University and his Juris Doctorate from University of Michigan Law School.

Gov. Pritzker Signs Legislation to Ban Junk Fees and Protect Consumers 

CHICAGO — Today, Governor JB Pritzker joined legislators and community members at Concord Music Hall to sign several bills that protect Illinois consumers. This includes banning junk fees, increasing transparency in ticket pricing and curtailing deceptive resale practices, and enacting greater oversight over ‘Buy-Now-Pay-Later’ lenders. These pieces of legislation will increase transparency for consumers and put money back in the pockets of working families by making fair, honest pricing the statewide standard.
