Critical bridge replacement marks final step of $1.3 billion I-80 corridor modernization, a cornerstone of Rebuild Illinois  

Gov. Pritzker Announces Des Plaines River Bridges Replacement on I-80

JOLIET — Today, Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) joined local leaders to celebrate the construction of new Interstate 80 (I-80) bridges over the Des Plaines River. The project, which began earlier this month, marks the final phase of the $1.3 billion multiyear I-80 rehabilitation and modernization, a key piece of Governor Pritzker’s historic Rebuild Illinois capital program. This year, on the I-80 corridor 13 miles of additional lanes, reconstructed interchanges, safety upgrades and capacity improvements will be completed.

Corinne Briscoe will serve as a Member of the Prisoner Review Board.* Briscoe currently serves as Director of Probation and Court Services with Macoupin/Greene/Scott Probation District, where she is responsible for financial and strategic planning decisions for adult and juvenile probation. Previously, Briscoe served as Chief Probation Officer for Greene County. Briscoe earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Business Administration from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

LITCHFIELD — Today, Governor JB Pritzker joined the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) to announce new investments in Litchfield to expand LLCC’s Truck Driver Training Program. The State of Illinois will provide $2.6 million for design and implementation of infrastructure improvements, which will create a new training site. This investment will help meet the growing need for licensed commercial drivers, support local economic development, and provide stable career opportunities for Illinoisans.
