Gov. Pritzker Announces Eight Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Capital Development Board
Ama Addai will continue to serve as a Member of the Capital Development Board.* Addai currently serves as Area Director of Civil Infrastructure with TRC Companies, Inc., formerly known as The Research Corporation of New England. Previously, Addai served as Associate Vice President of Utilities and Energy with The Roderick Group, leading the management of solar infrastructure projects. In her personal capacity, Addai is a member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar International Chicago Chapter, the Women’s Energy Network Chicago Chapter, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Addai earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Illinois and her Master of Construction Engineering and Management from Illinois Institute of Technology.
Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes
Jennifer Saba will serve as a Member of the Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes.* Saba currently serves as Chief Education Officer with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). In this role, she oversees and executes all operational education duties of ISBE. Previously, Saba served as Executive Director for Regional Services with ISBE. Before that, Saba was Director of Performance and Accountability with the Chicago Public Schools’ Office of Innovation and Incubation. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from College of the Holy Cross and her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law.
Illinois Sports Facilities Authority
Heather Steans will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority.* Steans currently serves as Chair of the Steans Family Foundation, which focuses on enhancing education, workforce development, and economic opportunity in Chicago’s North Lawndale community. Previously, she represented the 7th District in the Illinois Senate from 2008 to 2021. There, she led budget negotiations, passed the Equal Rights Amendment in 2018 to protect women’s reproductive rights, and advanced environmental protections. Earlier in her career, Steans was Budget Director of the Wisconsin Department of Industry, Labor, and Human Relations. She also previously served as Strategic Planner for Chicago Public Schools, where she developed a multi-year plan that produced education reforms. Steans earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Princeton University and her Master of Public Policy from Harvard University.
Illinois Workforce Innovation Board
Chynna Hampton will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board.* Hampton currently serves as Equity Director for Climate Jobs Illinois, leading the strategic planning, development, and implementation of the Illinois Climate Works Pre-Apprenticeship Program. Previously, Hampton served as Director of Workforce Development for Hire360 and as Senior Project Manager of Workforce Initiatives for the Chicago Transit Authority. In her personal capacity, Hampton currently serves on the Board of Directors of ChiGivesBack and the Board of Directors of Illinois Economic Policy Institute. Hampton earned her Associate of Arts from Richard J. Daley College, her Bachelor of Arts from University of Illinois Chicago, and her Master of Public Administration from Walden University.
Kaskaskia Regional Port District Board
Karen Stallman will continue to serve as a Member of the Kaskaskia Regional Port District Board.* Stallman currently serves as Agricultural Resource Specialist for Southern Illinois University’s School of Medicine. There, she oversees the coordination of the statewide Farm Family Resources Initiative, working to build a comprehensive support network for Illinois farm families. Previously, Stallman served as Director of Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment at Southeast Missouri State University. Before that, she was Director of Continuing Education and Outreach and Director of Community Relations at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Stallman and her husband raise corn, soybeans, wheat, and cattle on their family farm. Stallman earned her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Science in Agriculture Education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Advisory Board
Mayra Khan will continue to serve as a Member of the Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Advisory Board.* Khan currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Teamficient, an organization dedicated to connecting employers with talented professionals and promoting workplace diversity. Previously, Khan owned and operated her startup driving academy, Nova Driving School. Active in her community, Khan currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Little Village Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Directors of Centro Romero, a nonprofit organization committed to community empowerment and social change. Khan earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
Michael Macellaio will continue to serve as a Member of the Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Advisory Board.* Macellaio currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Chicago and Cook County Building and Construction Trades Council. Previously, he served as Director of Governmental Affairs for the Laborer’s District Council of Chicago and Vicinity Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust, advocating on behalf of laborers and contractors. Earlier in his career, Macellaio was Labor Liaison and Prevailing Wage Enforcement Officer for the Illinois Office of the Comptroller. In his personal capacity, Macellaio currently serves as President of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Council. Macellaio attended Moraine Valley Community College and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Preston Wolin will continue to serve as a Member of the Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Advisory Board.* Wolin currently owns and operates the Center for Athletic Medicine in Chicago, where he practices orthopedic surgery. Previously, Wolin served as Orthopedic Surgeon with University Orthopedics. Wolin specializes in the shoulder, knee, ankle, and elbow, and he is certified in sports medicine. Wolin also serves as Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at University of Illinois Chicago and Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship. Wolin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University and his Medical Doctorate from University of Illinois College of Medicine.
