Gov. Pritzker Announces One Appointment to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointment in his administration

Children and Family Services Advisory Council
Margaret Berglind will continue to serve as a Member of the Children and Family Services Advisory Council.* Berglind has devoted her professional career to confronting the challenges of Illinois’ complex child welfare system. Her areas of expertise include child welfare, child welfare workforce, juvenile justice, child behavioral health, and health care reform relating to child services. She previously led a statewide membership association that advocated for policies and practices to benefit youth in care and child-serving agencies. She also led programming in Chicago’s social service agencies for many years, working directly with children, families, and case management staff. Berglind is a licensed clinical social worker and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. She volunteers her time on several professional boards, including the National Organization of State Associations for Children as well as the National Association of Social Workers. Berglind received her Bachelor of Arts from St. Xavier College and a Master of Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago.
