Gov. Pritzker Announces One Appointment to Boards and Commissions

Joliet Arsenal Development Authority

Kendall Jackson will serve as a Member of the Joliet Arsenal Development Authority.* Jackson currently owns and operates KBJ Advisory, a private consulting firm specializing in advising municipal governments and private developers on project development and strategy. Previously, Jackson served as Director of Community and Economic Development, as Planning Director, and as City Planner with the City of Joliet. In these roles, he led citywide economic development, planning, and zoning functions for Joliet. Earlier in his career, Jackson served as a city planner in Chicago’s south suburbs and as a senior analyst with Compass Lexecon, Inc., where he conducted research and analysis in support of corporate merger, acquisition, and trade market matters. Jackson serves on the Board of Directors of Cornerstone Services, a Joliet-based nonprofit that has provided residential, employment, behavioral health, and community services to people with disabilities in Will County and the surrounding region since 1969. Jackson earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of Michigan, Master of Urban Planning and Policy from University of Illinois Chicago, and his Master of Business Administration from Roosevelt University.
