Gov. Pritzker Announces One Appointment to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointment in his administration

Illinois Finance Authority
J. Randal Wexler will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois Finance Authority.* Wexler currently serves as Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary for Van Drunen Farms and FutureCeuticals (VDF),a food ingredient and dietary supplement company. In this role, Wexler leads VDF’s research and development efforts, including a chemistry discovery lab near Chicago. Previously, Wexler served as Partner with global law firm Sidley Austin. There, he managed complex litigation and counseling companies in the food, supplement, and drug sectors. Wexler is a former Board Member of the Chicago Council of Lawyers, an organization focused on pro-bono projects promoting systemic criminal justice reforms. Wexler earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University and his Juris Doctorate from University of Michigan Law School.
Wexler’s appointment is effective July 16, 2026.
* Appointment pending confirmation by the Illinois Senate.
