Gov. Pritzker Announces Three Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Chicago State University Board of Trustees

John Robak will serve as a Member of the Chicago State University Board of Trustees.* Robak has dedicated his career to corporate leadership and Human Resources. In his most recent role as former Chairman and CEO of Greely and Hansen, Robak led the international civil, environmental, and water infrastructure consulting engineering firm. He was also responsible for international growth operations in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. He also served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Human Resources with Golin/Harris International. Robak received a Bachelor of Science from DePaul University and Master of Business Administration from Loyola University, Chicago.

Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority

John Holden II will serve as a Member of the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority.* Holden is an analyst with over seven years of experience working with the formerly incarcerated population, serving as a Co-Founder and Board Member at VOICES for the Formerly Incarcerated. He also currently serves as an Application Development Analyst with Accenture PLC, working to determine root causes for issues in production applications; while also rehearsing troubleshooting methods, devise innovative solutions, and document resolutions for inclusion in knowledge base for support team use. Holden received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Information Technology and Management from Illinois Institute of Technology.

Illinois State Board of Education

Judy Hackett will serve as a Member of the Illinois State Board of Education.* Dr. Hackett has been a passionate and purpose-driven public school special educator and leader for over 45 years, including 16 years as superintendent of a progressive special education district. Highlights of Dr. Hackett’s career include opening an inclusive preschool in a rapidly-growing large-unit school district, serving in several board officer roles in state and national education leadership organizations, chairing legislative and advocacy committees, and opening a parent resource center designed to engage families. She earned the Illinois Superintendent of the Year Award in 2016. Dr. Hackett received a Bachelor of Science from Northern Illinois University, Master of Educational Administration from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Certificate of Advanced Study from Lewis University, and Doctor of Educational Administration from NOVA Southeastern University.
