Gov. Pritzker Announces Three Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Illinois Forensic Science Commission
Katherine Drummond will serve as a Member of the Illinois Forensic Science Commission.* Drummond currently is as a partner at Drummond Law. In this role, they have served as the lead attorney for criminal cases, driver’s license reinstatements, DCFS appeals, juvenile delinquency cases, and Title IX violations. Prior to joining Drummond Law, they served as a partner at Winstein, Kavensky, & Cunningham, and were an Assistant State Attorney within the Office of the 9th Circuit State Attorney in Florida. Drummond is also the president of the Illinois Association of Criminal Defense. Drummond earned a Bachelor of Arts from Knox College and a Juris Doctor from Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law at Barry University.
Health Facilities and Services Review Board
Debra Savage will continue to serve as a Member of the Health Facilities and Services Review Board.* Savage has dedicated her career to nursing and the education of future nurses. She currently serves as the Director of Nursing at Moraine Valley Community College and is an online adjunct professor at Governors State University. Previously, Savage was as a nursing professor and the Assistant Dean at Chamberlain College of Nursing. Savage earned a Bachelor of Science from Rush University and a Master of Science from the University of Phoenix.
Illinois State Police Merit Board
Michelle Hoy Watkins will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois State Police Merit Board.* Dr. Hoy-Watkins has over twenty-five years of experience as a forensic psychologist. She currently serves as an assistant professor of Clinical Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University, an adjunct professor at College of DuPage, and is the president at MHW PsychLaw Services. As president, Dr. Hoy-Watkins provides criminal forensic and police psychological services. At the College of DuPage Dr. Hoy-Watkins teaches students who are a part of the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy. Previously, she served as Director of Threat Assessment with Northwestern University Police, where she was the central point of contact to identify, assess, and mitigate concerning behaviors. She co-facilitated violence prevention/active violence presentations campus-wide and provided in-service trainings to command, patrol, dispatch, and community service officers. She has also been awarded the Gisele M. Casanova Leadership Award from Diversity MBA Magazine’s Top 100 Under 50 Award. Dr. Michelle Hoy-Watkins earned her Bachelor of Science from Xavier University, and her Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, Alameda.
