Gov. Pritzker Announces Two Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Children and Family Services Advisory Council
Kathryn Olfe Gordon will serve as a Member of the Children and Family Services Advisory Council.* Gordon is Director of the Office of the Guardian ad Litem under the 19th Judicial Circuit, where she represents abused, neglected, and dependent children, both as their attorney and guardian ad litem. Gordon has over 30 years of experience in the legal field, spending much of her career with the Lake County Public Defender’s Office and the Cook County Public Guardian’s Office. Gordon is currently Adjunct Professor at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Miami University and her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University.
Illinois Affordable Housing Advisory Commission
Scott Berger will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois Affordable Housing Advisory Commission.* Berger has over 25 years of professional experience in historic preservation, community development, and program management with the City of Elgin, where he currently serves as Senior Planner, and Kane County government, where he worked for much of his career. A member of the Illinois Affordable Housing Advisory Commission since 2012, Berger will continue more than a decade of service. Berger completed coursework toward a Master of Science in Historic Preservation at School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and he earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Planning from Ball State University.
