Gov. Pritzker Announces Two Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Governors State University Board of Trustees
Angelica Zuniga will serve as a Member of the Governors State University Board of Trustees.* Zuniga has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. She currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Illiana Financial Credit Union, where she leads the development, facilitation, and communication of strategic initiatives and goals. In 2015, Zuniga was appointed Vice President of the South Holland Business Association, where she supported local businesses and economic development. Two years later, she served as President of the association for a two-year term, leading initiatives that strengthened community partnerships and enhanced local business opportunities. Zuniga earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix and completed the three-year program at the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Management School.
Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Advisory Board
Mayra Khan will serve as a Member of the Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Advisory Board.* Khan is a distinguished leader with a strong track record of uplifting the Hispanic business community, driving economic development, and fostering entrepreneurship. She is the founder of Teamficient, an organization dedicated to connecting employers with talented professionals and promoting workplace diversity. Additionally, Khan successfully grew her startup, Nova Driving School, into a successful medium-sized business. She serves on the Executive Chamber Directors of the Little Village Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Directors of Centro Romero, a nonprofit organization committed to community empowerment and social change. Khan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and is a graduate from the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative-Education Scaling program at Stanford University’s School of Business.
