Gov. Pritzker Announces Two Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Children and Family Services Advisory Council
Tara Ori will serve as a Member of the Children and Family Services Advisory Council.* Ori currently serves as Assistant State's Attorney for Lake County, with over two decades of experience in the role. Ori has focused extensively on child welfare, bringing a strong combination of legal expertise, courtroom experience, policy knowledge and a deep commitment to protecting children and strengthening families. She also has legal experience with trial and appellate advocacy, including arguments before the Illinois Appellate Court. Ori earned her Bachelor of Science in Education Social Policy from Northwestern University and her Juris Doctor from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Illinois Finance Authority
Chasse Rehwinkel will serve as a Member of the Illinois Finance Authority.* Rehwinkel currently serves as President of Devon Bank, an 80-year-old community bank on Chicago’s Northside. Previously, Rehwinkel served as Comptroller for the City of Chicago under Mayor Brandon Johnson. In this role, Mr. Rehwinkel oversaw 500 staff at the City of Chicago’s Department of Finance and managed the city’s cash flow, benefits, revenue collection, and enforcement. Earlier in his career, Rehwinkel served as Illinois Director of Banking with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Rehwinkel earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Gettysburg College and his Master of Public Policy in Municipal Finance from University of Chicago.
