Gov. Pritzker Announces Two Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Illinois Gaming Board
James Kolar will continue to serve as a member of the Illinois Gaming Board.* Kolar brings nearly forty years of professional experience to the Board. He recently retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) after 37 years, having served in the Financial Services Practice. Kolar held several leadership roles at PwC, including Managing Partner, Market Managing Partner, and Central Market Managing Partner. In addition to the Illinois Gaming Board, Kolar serves on the University of St. Thomas Board of Trustees and the PwC Charitable Foundation Board. Kolar earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
State Employees’ Retirement System Board of Trustees
Mohamad Nasir will continue to serve as a Member of the State Employees’ Retirement System Board of Trustees.* Nasir is a distinguished business executive, entrepreneur, and investment professional with a proven track record of leadership in asset management and business development. He has been recognized for his experience managing organizations through rapid growth and volatile markets while developing innovative financial products. Nasir currently serves as the General Manager and Chief Compliance Officer for Allied Asset Advisors. Nasir earned a Bachelor of Science from Temple University and a Master of Business Administration from Western Governor’s University.
