Gov. Pritzker Announces Two Appointments to Boards and Commissions
Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Illinois Forensic Science Commission
Jodi Hoos will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois Forensic Science Commission.* Hoos currently serves as Peoria County State’s Attorney, the first woman to ever hold this office in Peoria County. First appointed by the Peoria County Board unanimously in 2019, she was then elected to the position in 2020 and re-elected in 2024. Previously, Hoos served as Peoria County Resident Circuit Judge for five years. During her time on the bench, she handled a variety of civil cases ranging from personal injury to multimillion-dollar medical malpractice claims. Hoos earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from University of Nebraska Kearney and her Juris Doctorate from University of Nebraska Lincoln.
Illinois Workforce Innovation Board
Christine Caves will continue to serve as a Member of the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board.* Caves currently serves as Vice President of Business Retention, Expansion, and Workforce for Grow Quad Cities, an economic development organization providing support to local businesses. In this role, Caves connects local companies with resources for business growth, technology adoption, advanced training, and workforce development. Previously, Caves served as Corporate Trainer for Eastern Iowa Community Colleges. Caves is currently Chair of the Local Workforce Board #13 in Illinois and serves on the Business Committee of the Mississippi Valley Workforce Board in Iowa. Caves earned her Bachelor of Criminal Justice from University of Wisconsin and her Master of Psychology, Career Management, and Counseling from University of the Rockies.
