Today, Governor JB Pritzker took the following bill action:

Bill Number: SB1996

Description: Workers’ Compensation Omnibus. Makes changes to the Workers’ Compensation Code to allow the Commission to get additional penalties and reimbursements payable to the Injured Workers’ Benefit Fund, specifically employers who present false or fraudulent certificates of workers’ compensation insurance in review proceedings. ​

Action: Signed

Effective: Immediately
